Welcoming the SS Marlene to the Salvos Stores workforce

There’s a new member of the Salvos Stores workforce in South Australia!

Her name is SS Marlene and she’s a garbage truck, custom designed to pick up unsalvageable material from Salvos Stores across the city.

Through a partnership with ResourceCo, this waste is diverted from landfill and instead used to create energy at a Port Adelaide incinerator 🔥 diverting 1,800 tonnes of waste every year.
