The 2018/19 budget pledged $10 million for the creation of Glenthorne National Park.

- First public open days during April and October 2019 saw in excess of 6,300 people attend
- Land transfer of the Glenthorne Farm to the South Australian government from the University of Adelaide finalised - November 2019
- Glenthorne Masterplan completed
- Demolition of redundant buildings and on-site clean up completed - July 2020
- First public access available - August 2020
- Proclaimed as a National Park – October 2020
- More than 90,000 plants in the ground as part of ongoing efforts to revegetate the site
- Heritage restoration works underway
- Soccer pitches completed for The Cove FC early 2022
- $2m Nature Play playground (SA’s largest Nature Play space) – on track for completion Spring 2022
