Corflute ban finally passed

Unsightly election posters lining the streets of South Australia are about to be a thing of the past with the Liberal Party’s legislation banning corflutes set to pass Parliament. I’ve been pushing for legislation to ban them for several years now, and during the last state election I made the decision to lead by example, choosing not to display corflutes on public infrastructure throughout my electorate. Finally, after being voted down ten times by the Labor Government since the current bill was introduced in 2022, we’ve achieved our goal. This is not only a win for the Liberal Party; it’s a win for the amenity of our streets, and critically, for our environment, reducing single-use plastic waste.
