Strengthening ties with our allies

This week I spent four days attending the West Coast Leadership Dialogue, a gathering held in Palo Alto and Pasadena, California. The Dialogue brings together leaders in business, academia and government to explore a range of pressing topics and opportunities within the US-Australia relationship.

This year's event focused on:

• the rapid emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

• the Metaverse; cyber security

• the AUKUS defence alliance

• the space industry

• the current state of play in American politics

These are all areas which are of great importance to South Australia's economy and government, with many challenges to be traversed, but also significant opportunity for us if we get things right.
