SA Museum protest at Parliament

Today over a thousand South Australians gathered at the steps of Parliament to show their support for the South Australian Museum, and the researchers who do such important work there. One distinguished attendee at the protest was Jennifer Cashmore AM, former Liberal Party member for the seat of Coles (now Morialta). Like John Gardner MP and I, Jennifer is very concerned about the recently announced budget cuts to the South Australian Museum, which will result in the removal of 27 scientific research roles, and the potential the closure of cherished exhibits such as the mammals, Polar collection and the Egyptian room. Today we made our voices heard loud and clear that the Malinauskas Labor Government needs to stop these cuts, protect our museum, and properly fund the research that occurs there.
