I have a long and fulfilling relationship with The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award, the world’s most significant youth development initiative. I am a Gold Award holder, gaining my Award in 2008, and a former Board Director for the Award in Australia. Today I cheer on the Award from the sidelines and encourage young South Australians to undertake its multi-disciplined elements.
Yesterday I had the honour of MC’ing a Gold Award ceremony at Adelaide Town Hall. Around 50 Gold Awardees were celebrated by the Award’s patron, Her Excellency Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia, family members and friends.
