The Glenthorne National Park precinct will soon be home to the RSPCA’s new Animal Care Campus at the eastern end of Majors Road. Construction is well and truly underway on this dedicated space to care for native wildlife as well as the RSPCA’s more traditional domestic animals like cats and dogs.
This was an agreement I was able to strike when establishing Glenthorne National Park, to get the RSPCA into Glenthorne as an important facility to care for creatures great and small! While the campus will provide for the RSPCA’s traditional focus on dogs, cats and other small pets, it’ll now have a growing emphasis on the care and rehabilitation of native wildlife, perfect for its location at the gateway to our brilliant and thriving urban national park.
