Duke of Edinburgh's Award 60th anniversary trail open

12 years ago I was in the same program as this crew from Mark Oliphant College!

The The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award - Australia played a significant role in driving me to push boundaries and learn new things when I was growing up and I can’t speak highly enough of the program.

This week I headed out to Mount Crawford Forest to open part of the Award’s 60th Anniversary Trail which has sections in every state and territory.

In South Australia, this is part of the Heysen Trail.

I met the very impressive students who are currently completing their Award. An ideal day to walk with them, unveil a plaque marking the trail, and hear about the things they are doing as part of their award journey.
