A day on the Fleurieu

The Fleurieu Peninsula is a stunning part of South Australia and is so accessible given its proximity to Adelaide.

In my role I visit the peninsula regularly and I recently popped down to Middleton to attend the Southern Surf Festival hosted by Surfing South Australia. The festival is a showcase of surfing talent and as an ocean lover I enjoy speaking to surfers about their time spent in the waves. They're inevitably passionate conservationists and we have lots in common.

From Middleton I visited a fantastic family business Softfoot Farm at Hindmarsh Valley. Owned and operated by the Retallick family since the 1990s, Softfoot Farm is a great story of conservation with native wildlife and vegetation protected right across the property. If you're looking for a day out for all the family, Softfoot would be well worth checking out.
