Works started on new Seacliff toilet block

Good quality community infrastructure along our coastline helps people to enjoy the great outdoors and that's what the upgrade of the Seacliff amenities block is all about. A couple of years ago I was able to secure funding for this project which is a partnership with the City of Holdfast Bay. It's taken a while (far too long in my view!), but finally it's underway and will hopefully be all done for summer. The new amenities block will include:

• Five toilets.
• One disability toilet and shower.
• Outdoor public shower area and handwashing station.
• Improved beach ramp access for pedestrians and surf club vehicles.

It may not seem like the biggest project in the world, but in my local community, this is a great little project which will improve people's enjoyment of and access to the beach.
