Successful fledging of Hooded Plover chick

A Hooded Plover chick has successfully fledged at Seacliff! If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know about my great love for this endangered species.

Having a successful fledging is fantastic for the survival of this species - and it hasn’t occurred here since the 2020-21 season!Thanks as always to the BirdLife Australia volunteers, and to all beach goers doing the right thing and keeping your dogs on a leash around these sensitive breeding areas (all signposted!)
