Pearl of Africa Gala

Recently I had the pleasure of attending the Pearl of Africa Gala, an event celebrating the 61st anniversary of Uganda's Independence, and showcasing the culture and vibrancy of Ugandans in our state. I’ve actually been to Uganda on two separate occasions and love this beautiful country and it’s people so it was great to spend time reminiscing with South Australian Ugandans about their country. The ball was a fantastic event, and as an migrant myself I dressed in my own cultural attire.
