Meeting with the Tamil Association

On Thursday Jing Lee MLC and I met with representatives from the Adelaide Tamil Association. With a culture thousands of years old, the Tamil people are an ethno-linguistic group originating mostly from Southern India and Northern Sri Lanka. There’s around 25,000 Tamils in South Australia and it’s a growing community. It’s important that I work to understand the priorities and needs of our many multicultural communities and these meetings are very important to me.
