World Environment Day 2023

Today is World Environment Day and this year's theme is #BeatPlasticPollution.

I feel so proud to have been able to introduce a ban on single-use plastics in 2019 when I was Environment Minister - the first place in Australia to do so. This bold legislation has kept so much waste out of our waste stream, and more importantly, out of our environment.How do you beat plastic pollution? Perhaps it's picking up rubbish during your morning beach walk, ditching the glad wrap in favour of a reusable wrap or avoiding prepackaged products all together. Let me know in the comments
