Banning single-use plastics - legislation introduced to parliament

The work of government goes on - and here in South Australia we’re banning the use of a range of single use plastics! ⁣⁣

Today I gave notice in Parliament that I will introduce a Bill for an Act to restrict and prohibit the manufacture, production, distribution, sale and supply of certain single use and other plastic products and for other purposes. ⁣⁣

While the covid-19 crisis has caused the implementation of this legislation to be slightly delayed, we are still getting on with this important work. ♻️ 🌎 🌊
