Hallett Cove Boardwalk update

Some people may have heard that the future of our much-loved Hallett Cove boardwalk is under threat. This is just NOT TRUE 🙅🏼‍♂️

The council has temporarily closed some sections of the trail following an engineering report which said that parts of it were ageing had had become unsafe. Diversions are currently in place between Murto Road, Marino and Peera Street, Hallett Cove. This is about 2 km of the 8 km trail.

I am working alongside the City of Marion, and in particular Councillor Ian Crossland, as we work through funding options, but we’re waiting on a detailed engineering report and costings to come in before any decisions can be made. Rest assured you can continue to enjoy most of the walking trail, its stunning views and challenging workouts 💪🏼😅 while repair options and durable materials (recycled I hope!) are explored!

It’s also important to continue to support the fantastic Boatshed Hallett Cove Beach and Marino Rocks Cafe & Restaurant which enjoy passing trade from the many people who walk the trail.
