Government must release winter demand plan

South Australia’s health system is already buckling under extreme pressure – with a massive 4,095 hours lost to ramping just last month – so we know the extra demand winter puts on our hospitals is going make the situation even more dire.

Today Shadow Health Minister, Ashton Hurn, and I called on Peter Malinauskas to release his winter demand plan, so South Australians can have some confidence that measures are being put in place to prepare.

We can’t wait until winter arrives to act. We need strategies in place now so that our already overflowing EDs don’t collapse under the additional winter strain.
