South Australia is proudly the Defence State. The defence industries are central to our state's economic vitality and we play an important role in securing our nation's defence capability. News that 800 defence personnel will leave their Edinburgh base for northern Australian locations is deeply concerning. I urge the government to work to ensure our state's opportunities are not diluted by the ever-changing defence landscape. South Australia has the skills and the reputation to deliver for our nation, now is not the time to undo generations of work.
